Founded in 1955, Jim and Lorraine Landon opened the doors of Landon Lumber Company in a barn in Guilford, CT. The newly established business quickly outgrew its space and was moved to Garnet Park Road in Madison, CT in 1962, where the business continued to expand for the next 15 years.
In 1977, the business was moved to its current location on Route 1/134 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT; where the business continues to thrive and grow. With an ever expanding product line and growing customer base, Landon Lumber expanded their store in 1996, with a dedication to honor one of its founders, Lorraine Landon.
The Landon Lumber Company has focused its business on great family values; with well over 100 years of combined knowledge from a highly experienced sales and yard staff, continuing to service the shoreline area and beyond. We offer a solid dedication to providing our customers, both old and new, with superior quality products at a very competitive price. Landon Lumber Company prides itself on offering a more personal one on one experience, treating every customer, both big and small, with the same respect and service.
Landon Lumber Company’s hardware store contains over 5000 sq. ft. of building materials, combined with a fully stocked lumber yard to provide an easy and convenient shopping experience for not only the professional contractor, but also for the “do-it-yourself” homeowner project. We are constantly monitoring industry trends to be sure we have the most up to date product selection but if we do not have the specialty item you seek our sales staff will work with our many distributor’s to locate what you require in a timely and efficient manner. We are also affiliated with a national buying group allowing us to compete with the larger home building chains.
